Do we not get any response from the hospital with our concerns?
good
I have had my varicose vein treatment done at this hospital and it turned into a nightmare. My legs look worse then they ever were before surgery.
I have brought this matter and my concerns to several members of staff but they did not take appropriate action to resolve the problem. It has been ignored.
This has been going on for more then a year and still waiting for a proper response.
Not one member of staff has cared to really look into the matter. I have not been asked
to show the problem to anyone.
I am going through a nightmare. I thought I was going to get the best treatment at this hospital but I have been given more problems instead. I have to cover my legs completely now then before.
When I think about it, I could have lived with my legs the way they were. Now they are in a mess after laser treatment.
Photos were taken of my Legs prior to treatment by the doctor involved but then he refused there were any photos taken of my legs. I have asked for them so we can compare to what my legs looked like before the surgery but I simply get told there are no photos.
The staff at St John and St Elizabeth were exceptionally kind, caring and professional.
They could not do enough for us and the surroundings were spotlessly clean and well presented.
The food was excellent and we were so grateful for the high standard of nursing and medical care.
The ancillary staff were also superb.
I find myself going to the Hospital of St John's & Elizabeth's whenever I need to see a doctor. I have given up on fast appointments with my GP. The Urgent care centre i always fantastic and I get seen within 15 mins. If I need to be referred to specialists, they can usually accommodate me at the hospital and arrange appointments. It is very clean, pleasant and I feel that I am in safe hands with the consultants and doctors that practice there.
Lovely, friendly hospital,, very welcoming and nice and clean too. Comfortable areas to sit whilst waiting for your appointments and freiendly smilely staff.
I saw Mr Hakim on 11th July 2017. I have Elhers Danlos syndrome and up until I saw Mr Hakim I have received no specialist treatment. It was wonderful to see someone who thoroughly understands my condition. He has referred me to other specialists in Elhers Danlos who I am able to see through the NHS. I can thoroughly recommend anyone with my condition to see Mr Hakim.
I have been suffering for 2 years with a condition and just offered operations this I did not want. St John's and St Elizabeth hospital consultant offered me solutions sat talked was unhurried and put my mind at rest she was welcoming professional and I feel so much better. I went to their amazing chaple and it certainly gave me peace of mind thank you.
All the staff were lovely, facility clean, short waiting time but having used the emergency Casualty First before I was shocked that instead of seeing a Doctor you see an Advanced Nurse. As lovely as she was when you are paying £100 for a visit you expect to see a Doctor and clearly she didn't have the level of experience that a GP would have.
I was forwarded onto a paediatrician who did the same observations that the nurse did and further investigation but you are then paying again for these services.
When you are insured you have to visit a GP for this referral so you can't miss out the initial visit but £100 for triage and obs. is outrageous and for this reason I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, would actually actively discourage friends and family and after years of coming would never use it again. There are plenty of private GP's that would offer a better service at this cost or less. Particularly annoyed as I work in the private health area myself and have 5 children so have sufficient experience in this area.
Very very disappointed.
good hospital
